Google allegedly working on censored search engine for Chinese market

Recently Leaked documents reveal Google might be ready to make a government-friendly, censored version of its search engine in order to gain access to the Chinese people. This would mark the company’s return to both the country and the government’s stringent censorship. The report from The Intercept revealed a project called “Dragonfly,” and claimed its existence was known only to a relatively small amount of employees. It’s an Android app, and allegedly a finalized version has been shown to Chinese government officials. France passes a new law banning smartphones in schools

As of next month, French students will no longer be allowed to use smartphones or tablets while at school. The law was passed on Monday and will apply to school children between 3 and 15 years old, according to CNN. The phone-banning law was originally a part of President Emmanuel Macron’s election campaign and was first introduced to prevent further screen-addiction amongst young people in France. Earlier today, the company announced former US President, Bill Clinton, will be speaking at its annual Swell conference – but it appears the cryptocurrency community on Twitter is not all that impressed.
