There’s growing concern that Ethereum cannot handle anymore dApps – but founder Vitalik Buterin says he’s close to fixing the scalability issues. Afri Schoedon, part of the Parity wallet development team, recently urged new decentralized app (dApp) projects away from Ethereum. “Please stop deploying [dApps] to Ethereum,” Schoedon wrote. “We are running at capacity.” Schoedon then declared a need to “meta-decentralize” Ethereum. The approach would involve deploying critical parts of dApps on Ethereum’s mainnet, and running the rest of the necessary processes on a compatible blockchain platform – like Ethereum Classic. Ex-Google CEO: Competition between US and China will split the internet

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt believes that in next 10-15 years, the internet will split into two with one part will be led by China and other by the US. Schmidt said in reply to economist Terry Cowen’s question on the possibility of having three to four separate internets a decade from now: I think the most likely scenario now is not a splintering, but rather a bifurcation into a Chinese-led internet and a non-Chinese internet led by America. United Nations will use blockchain to solve global social problems

The United Nations is exploring blockchain to boost its efforts in developing nations. The intergovernmental body announced the news at the 73rd edition of the UN General Assembly in New York.
