These analog noise-reducing ear buds helped me with my anxiety

Knops are, basically, ear plugs with volume buttons. They’re a weird little analog gadget that’s perfect for people who get anxious in noisy places. They’re one of the strangest products I’ve reviewed. And I’m the guy who took a light saber seriously. To me, they look ridiculous. But in a good way. And that’s kind of fun considering the fact that, per a press release, they’re being marketed as fashion accessories. But, I’m going to be honest: I know nothing about fashion. As far as gadgets go, however, I actually dig their aesthetic. They come in a few styles, the…

Here’s everything Google revealed at its Pixel 3 event

Google today held its annual Made By Google event, where it showed off its newest toys. While it’s true we got a glimpse of most of them ahead of time thanks to copious leaks (which Google themselves lightly poked fun at during the opening segment), it was still fun to see them in action. Here’s what it announced: Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL No surprise, the first and biggest reveal of the day was Google‘s new flagship phone, the Pixel 3 and its bigger brother, the XL. This oft-leaked phone comes with wireless charging and the addition of a…

Google intends to launch a censored version of its Search app for China sometime in the next six to nine months, according to a leaked transcript from a private employee meeting held last month. The Intercept’s Ryan Gallagher today reported the company’s Search engine chief, Ben Gomes, held a meeting to congratulate a room full of employees working on the platform, dubbed Project Dragonfly. According to The Intercept, Gomes talked about the launch timeline: While we are saying it’s going to be six and nine months [to launch], the world is a very dynamic place. He goes on to point out…

Google today announced its Duplex AI feature will roll out to Pixel 3 owners next month, but that’s not the only cool new AI experience they’ll get. A new call-screening and response feature will launch with Duplex, and it could mean an end to spam calls. Telemarketers: Your days are numbered. Duplex is the futuristic jaw-dropping AI the company showed off earlier this year that calls businesses to schedule appointments for you autonomously. It’s finally making its way to English language customers sometime next month and, along with it, a robust new update to Google’s call screening AI is slated for…
