The US Army recently revealed it would be starting its own esports team in an effort to reach out to all the kids out there who play the games and apparently show them you can still with at battle royale while you’re training for an actual battle. The people involved in the team say the actual players aren’t going to be recruiters. Staff Sergeant Ryan Meaux, a member of the team, said during a Reddit AMA: Members of the eSports and Functional Fitness outreach teams are not recruiters. Google’s ethical black hole swallows Deepmind’s best intentions

Google yesterday set off another controversy when it announced the acquisition of Streams, DeepMind’s algorithm-based healthcare data management platform. The controversy stems from what the deal’s detractors view as a breach of trust by Deepmind. The UK-based AI startup, which was purchased by Google‘s parent company Alphabet in 2014, has always maintained that it operated autonomously underneath the umbrella of Google. As such, it’s long said it would never share identifiable patient data – from its healthcare endeavors – with Google. Now that they have it, things are swinging in the opposite direction: Microsoft is bringing a ‘Light Mode’ to Windows 10, helping bring balance to the Force.
