Quotable

"Obama's first televised address to the nation from the Oval Office proved one thing: He is fundamentally transforming America, into a nation of polluted waters and lands, political name calling, and a clear plan to fail everybody, except the enemies of America. And yes, I do believe he loves America. I just think he's a hyphenated-American. To be specific, when it comes to his politics, I believe he's what is known as an idiotic-American." ~ Yasha Harari

It’s the iPhone we all thought Apple would make someday: a device with no buttons, no ports, no headphone jack, not even a SIM card tray. Apple may still make that phone one day, but it won’t be the first. That honor goes to Meizu. The Meizu Zero has none of those oh-so-2018 distractions. It’s just a block of ceramic with a couple of…

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (cryptoassets) have caused regulators many headaches in recent years. In the latest twist in crypto’s regulation saga, the UK’s financial watchdog has launched a consultation on existing guidance around cryptoassets amid fears that companies could be putting consumers at risk by offering unauthorized services. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the US equivalent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), launched its consultation after the UK Cryptoasset Taskforce requested additional guidance and clarity on the current regulatory framework. As there is uncertainty across jurisdictions, newbie blockchain startups are inevitably faced with legal quandaries – do I need…
