North Korea has obtained some $670 million in virtual and fiat currency in a bid to bypass economic sanctions put in place as a result of its nuclear and missile programs. The country amassed the funds through cyber attacks, Nikkei says citing an expert panel reporting to the UN Security Council. In its report, the panel recommended that UN member states “enhance their ability to facilitate robust information exchange on the cyber attacks by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea with other governments and with their own financial institutions.” The details The country is thought to have carried out the attacks on foreign…

Despite the crypto-winter causing widespread layoffs for employees in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry over the last few months, there are still plenty of jobs in the field. According to information Hard Fork gathered from Glassdoor, the US is leading the way when it comes to opportunities for blockchain related jobs, followed  by the UK, and then Canada. Australian federal police (AFP) have arrested two men connected to a cryptocurrency-fused drug syndicate operating in Melbourne. According to a statement, AFP agents executed a string of search warrants yesterday, seizing steroids, Australian currency, and “cryptocurrency-related items.” In particular, a 27-year-old-man was arrested and charged with playing a key role in the alleged drug importing and trafficking enterprise. He was found in possession of approximately 30 kilograms of illegal drugs, including ketamine, cocaine, methamphetamine, and MDMA, and will be facing multiple counts that carry a maximum life sentence. CHEAP: The excellent Huawei Mate 20 Pro is now 32% off, but be quick

Mar08

Welcome to CHEAP, our brand-new series about things that are good, but most of all, cheap. CHEAP! The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is arguably the best Android phone of 2018, and it’s all thanks to its ludicrous three-camera setup, which produces shots as stunning as anything else on the market. That said, it ain’t cheap. Flagship handsets seldom are. But if you’re willing to forego next-day shipping, you can pick up the Mate 20 Pro on Amazon Deutschland for the bargain price of €670, rather than the usual €999. That’s a discount of roughly 32 percent. And if that’s not…

Samsung released its trio of Galaxy S10 phones – the Galaxy S10e, the Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ – last month.
