Puzzlomaly is a death metal album that sounds like others from the genre: it’s filled with screeching vocals, bludgeoning beats and dizzying guitar solos. However, the record – which you can listen to on Bandcamp or in the widget below – wasn’t produced by actual musicians.Puzzlomaly by DADABOTS Rather, it was created by a pair of technologists, CJ Carr and Zack Zukowski, using a deep a deep learning algorithm they created. It listened to an actual record – Psyopus’ Ideas of Reference in this case – 29 times over several days before recreating an approximated version that captures the musical elements…

If you’re on the road a lot, it makes sense to invest in an international charger that can plug into a range of power outlets around the world. You can easily get one of those online or even at most airports, but I’d recommend considering Ohio-based accessory maker Fuse Chicken’s latest offering. It comes with two ports, wirelessly juices up supported devices, and packs a power bank to boot. Why an AI’s personality is more complicated than Alexa’s

When we think of Alexa having a personality, we’ll describe it as her responding to certain things in a certain way – what she does or doesn’t do based on a question or request. We all have an intrinsic human trait where we think that it’s all black or white, do or do not, kill or be killed — and when talking shop about PR — pushing an announcement, or not. Perhaps owing to the high-paced nature of the startup industry and a not-so-healthy dose of “hustle porn,” executives tend to approach PR with a quantity over quality mindset when it comes to perceived value. Unfortunately, this particular way of thinking couldn’t be any further from the truth. From companies sharing news about their nifty new office watercooler or launching alleged “bombshell” news daily…

Samsung has reportedly postponed the launch events for its $2,000 Galaxy Fold smartphone in Hong Kong and Shanghai, according to reports by SamMobile and Engadget. The press events were originally scheduled for April 23 and 24. The company hasn’t announced revised dates as yet. While no reasons have been provided for the Hong Kong delay, Engadget, quoting National Business Daily, is reporting that the South Korean chaebol has cancelled the Shanghai event citing issues with the venue. The Galaxy Fold, one of the first smartphones with a foldable display to hit the market, has been recently in the news for…
