Facebook is now accepting applications for its F8 developer conference on April 30 at the San Francisco Design Concourse. Tickets are limited, so interested attendees can submit their applications and Facebook will choose from the list in order to have a “diverse mix” of developers. If you’re lucky enough to be chosen, you’ll have to shell out $495 for a ticket. Facebook also plans to livestream keynotes and afternoon sessions, so you can still keep up with the proceedings if you don’t score a ticket. After a three year hiatus, Facebook announced earlier this week that it is bringing back…

Google today launched the new Google Maps Embed API, which lets developers generate HTML snippets for embedding Google Maps within their own websites. The API offers location and appearance customization options as well as a handful of simple URL parameters. It also makes it easier to quickly build multiple maps with the same settings. Google first brought back embedding for the new Google Maps in November 2013, when it emphasized that embedded maps are free of usage limits. At the time, the company also updated its Google Maps/Earth APIs Terms of Service to include an advertising section, which says the…

Keeping track of your finances can be a challenge, but thankfully there’s no shortage of services that promise to help you stay up to date. One such service, Money Dashboard, has existed on the Web since way back in 2010, but has only just announced a version of the site optimized for mobile visitors. Money Dashboard promises that the mobile edition provides a streamlined interface that’s perfect for smaller screens to access financial info on the move and said that new features will be arriving for the platform as a whole in the “near future”. There’s also native iOS and…

Memeoirs - open and cover view
Memeoirs, the service that lets you create a book out of all your old emails, has launched a new feature that integrates messages sent across Facebook. The feature was announced today by the company, although it has been live on the home page for a few days. Picking up where the previous incarnation left off, it now lets you turn your private Facebook messages into an entire book, should you so wish. To achieve this, all you need to do is connect your Facebook account to the service, select who you talked to that you’d like included in your book,…
