Quotable

"Obama's first televised address to the nation from the Oval Office proved one thing: He is fundamentally transforming America, into a nation of polluted waters and lands, political name calling, and a clear plan to fail everybody, except the enemies of America. And yes, I do believe he loves America. I just think he's a hyphenated-American. To be specific, when it comes to his politics, I believe he's what is known as an idiotic-American." ~ Yasha Harari

Mere days after it blocked access to Twitter, the Turkish government has done the same for YouTube. WebRazzi reports that the video-sharing site is now unavailable through all ISPs, and has posted a screenshot which confirms the move. It simply reads at the bottom: “Access has been blocked by Telecommunication Communication Presidency.” According to Reuters, the Turkish telecoms authority TIB confirmed today it has taken “administrative measure” against the Google-owned platform. A second screenshot posted by WebRazzi details the TIB’s decision on its website. It reads: “After technical analysis and legal consideration based on the Law Nr. 5651, ADMINISTRATION MEASURE has been taken…

android
Crittercism, a performance monitoring company best known for crash reports, has come up with its first-ever ‘State of Mobile’ report that extrapolates data from their one billion monthly active users to show a variety of mobile app performance metrics. The report found that Gingerbread has the highest crash rate for Android at 1.7 percent — more than double that of KitKat, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean, all of which crash at about 0.7 percent. In the meantime, iOS 7.1 has a crash rate of 1.6 percent, lower than iOS 7.0 (2.1 percent) and iOS 6 (2.5 percent). This means that…

Twitter and Billboard are set to launch a new chart that will rank which music is being shared and tweeted about the most in real-time. It will be called the ‘Billboard Twitter Real-Time Charts’ and be available on Billboard.com. The leaderboard will rank the most popular tracks being talked about at any one time, as well as those that have remained popular over a longer period. Billboard and Twitter also want to use the chart to highlight “the most talked about and shared songs by new and upcoming acts”. Billboard said the new music charts are part of an exclusive,…
