Last year, Eyefi introduced Mobi, a wireless SD camera card that used a peer-to-peer connection to transfer images from your DSLR or point-and-shoot camera to an iOS or Android mobile device. Today, Eyefi takes that concept a step further by pairing that setup with a new private cloud service, appropriately called Eyefi Cloud. It uses the same network arrangement to sync and share your shots between the card, mobile devices, computer, or smart TV. In December last year, the Chinese government issued what is known as ‘mobile virtual network operator’ licenses to HiChina, a subsidiary of e-commerce giant Alibaba, as well as its rival JD.com, allowing them to resell mobile telecom services. This means they get to lease mobile services from the three state-run major carriers — China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile — but offer their own independent packages with data and discounts for mobile devices that may differ from what is on the market right now. Amazon partners with Samsung to launch custom Kindle e-Book service for Galaxy devices

Amazon and Samsung have today announced that the two companies will launch an e-Book download service designed specifically for the South Korean handset maker’s range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. As part of the partnership, the companies will also launch ‘Samsung Book Deals’, which will be open to anyone using the Kindle for Samsung app. This will provide users with up to 12 free e-Books per year from a selection of four different free books per month.
