News-specs? CNN wants citizen journalists to contribute via Google Glass

CNN’s iReport is probably about as mainstream a citizen journalist platform as you’ll find, giving budding hacks a genuine conduit for making it into the mainstream media. But now, you’re also able to share photos and videos with CNN directly from Google Glass. Granted, that’s still a relatively small target market, but if  you are an active Google Glass Explorer and citizen hack, it’s an extra option…

Leap-Motion-Controller
Leap Motion was borne out of a “deep frustration” that the process of creating a 3D object on a high-tech platform, the computer, took up more time than molding something with clay or Play-Doh. “Computers are supposed to make us better and faster, but they make us slower,” company CEO Michael Buckwald told TNW at the sidelines of GMIC Beijing. “If you think about our keyboards and even touchscreens, they’re all binary… it’s such an incredibly elementary way of communicating to your computers,” he said. This is why Buckwald is keen to bring Leap Motion’s 3D gesture controller to other…

y combinator by paul miller
Alex Klein is the co-founder of YogaTrail. This post originally appeared on the YogaTrail blog. YogaTrail is a global yoga directory, created and maintained by a team that’s based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Since launching the site last summer, we’ve built decent traction, generated some revenue, and are just now reaching the point of “ramen profitability.” Things are going well – but living and working in Northern Thailand occasionally has us wondering if perhaps ‘Team YogaTrail’ is a little bit isolated. We think we would have much to gain by connecting with some mentors and learning things from veterans in the startup world….

With A/x testing, Mailjet helps marketers compare up to 10 different versions of emails before sending

The upshot of this…
