Microsoft has had a tough time since last year’s E3. The company has spent the past 12 months correcting a series of missteps ranging from its used game policy, Kinect bundling and Xbox Live requirement for its entertainment apps. Sony has taken an early lead in console sales this console generation. After originally billing the Xbox One as an all-in-one entertainment system, new Microsoft head Phil Spencer has promised to refocus the console on gaming. GitHub redesigns its Windows app to put your work front and center, adds emoji and gif support

GitHub today released version 2.0 of its Windows app, which it markets as “the easiest way to use Git and GitHub on Windows.” The new version features a more streamlined design, new GitHub local features, and some general speed improvements. Advertising technology company OpenX today announced an impressive new product, dubbed Demand Fusion, that brings together a real-time bidding platform and ad network demand. Traditionally, supply-side platforms (SSPs), which focus on serving publishers and their ad inventory, have siloed ad networks and real-time bidding (RTB). While some players offer publishers the opportunity to choose between an RTB and the flat pricing of ad networks, none have been able to combine them dynamically up until now.
