Facebook today updated Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone with two new features and performance improvements. You can download the new version now directly from the Windows Phone Store. Taking and sharing a photo is much quicker now as the action can be done in just one tap (just like on Android and iOS), so you don’t have to leave the app to take a photo with a separate camera app. Furthermore, the revamped photo gallery gives you quick access to photos on your phone. There’s also a new Groups tab for creating, managing, and talking to, multiple people at once….

Shelby.tv
Samsung is getting into the curated video space with news that it has acquired social-video startup Shelby.TV. The TNW2012 Startup Rally winner posted a blog announcing its acquisition by the electronics giant. The startup had built a video curation service that grabs content from YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu, Blip, and videos shared by your friends on social media and created a custom “channel” for users. The service then tracked your likes and dislikes to create an even more unique experience. Samsung purchased the company to create its own curated video experience according to the blog post: Our team is excited to develop new…

Jason SurfrApp is the founder of IWearYourShirt.com. His new book, Creativity For Sale, is an in-depth look at how to turn passion into profit. When it comes to thinking creatively for business, most people believe you have to be wired a certain way or use a certain side of your brain. I disagree. In fact, I think the more naturally creative you are, the harder time you have focusing on the business side of things (marketing, promotion, sales, etc). This is why most artists create brilliant work, but have a hard time generating revenue. But fear not. Regardless of your level of inherently creativity…
