Opera has completely overhauled its Opera Mini browser for iOS. The new app now sports a flatter design with the use of transparency to visualize layers, finally fitting into the design language of iOS 7 (and also the recently-announced iOS 8). ‘India’s Amazon’ Flipkart announces its first self-branded tablet, a 7-inch Android device for $166

Indian e-commerce juggernaut Flipkart has stepped into the tablet space with the launch of its own offering, a seven-inch tablet under its private brand, Digiflip Pro. The 3G dual-sim XT712 tablet has a 1280x800p HD resolution with IPS display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core cortex A7 processor and runs on Android Jelly Bean. It comes equipped with 1GB of RAM and a five-megapixel camera. The device is also lightweight, weighing only 285 grams. With such specs, Flipkart is selling the device at a mere Rs 9,999 ($166), which will likely appeal to its 18 million registered users. To fit…

German technology incubator Rocket Internet is most commonly associated with being a ‘clone factory’ that creates imitations of successful businesses — and one of them is food delivery app Foodpanda, which operates in over 20 countries. But it can’t be accused of staying stagnant – Foodpanda has finally taken a huge step forward with the addition of in-app mobile payment options (though admittedly it has added this much later than its competitors including Just Eat and GrubHub). The new feature just requires you to add in your credit card details and then you can go cashless for any food orders you place — no worries…
