Alibaba to IPO on the NYSE with ticker $BABA

Alibaba revealed today in an updated SEC filing that its US IPO will take place on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker $BABA. The firm, which is China’s largest ecommerce company, first filed for its offering in early May with 618 million users and $5.55 billion in revenue for fiscal 2013. Swipe now enhances your presentations with polls, private sharing, live analytics and a Markdown Editor

Swipe, a platform for creating and sharing presentations, has added new features like the option to add polls to presentations and a counter for measuring how many people are viewing at any given time. Some 14 months after the platform first launched in beta, the new poll feature is aiming to make presentations more interactive, while an in-app Markdown Editor lets users quickly change content without having to edit slides separately. Skype for Windows Phone update brings Cortana integration to let you dial with your voice

Skype has released a new version of its app for Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices which increases language support, provides an option to allow editing of your last sent message and, where applicable, provides integration with Microsoft’s Cortana virtual assistant. Unsurprisingly, the Cortana integration will only work on Windows Phone 8.1 handsets, but provided your device fulfils this criteria and you’re based in the US, you can now initiate a Skype video or audio call with your voice alone. Microstock photography service Fotolia has released Fotolia Instant for Android to let you monetize the photos you take on your smartphone. Let’s be honest, sometimes you take a sweet photo with your phone and you think, “I could totally sell this.” Fotolia agrees, and that’s why it created its Instant collection last year with the release of an iOS app. Since then, Fotolia claims to have sold over 50,000 smartphone images.
