Nokia’s MixRadio hopes to become a standalone service following Microsoft layoffs

Fresh from the news that Microsoft is preparing to cut up to 18,000 jobs over the next 12 months, many of whom were taken on with the recent Nokia acquisition, it seems plans are afoot to spin-out at least one specific Nokia product as a standalone service. UK satellite broadcaster BSkyB now lets you manage your account on the move with a dedicated mobile app

British satellite broadcaster BSkyB already has an arsenal of mobile offerings designed to help you watch movies and TV shows on the move. Now, it’s looking to help you manage your Sky account on the go too.
