Social reading service Flipboard is the latest US social network to go down the route of video advertising, following the path of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (soon) and others. Speaking Read Write’s ReadWriteMix event, Flipboard founder and CEO Mike McCue announced that the company will introduce the ad format from next month. Give yourself a pat on the back, Internet. Oxford Dictionaries has given in and added ridiculous modern words like humblebrag, listicle, live-tweet, clickbait and YOLO to a quarterly update of its official online dictionary. Now you can SMH at all those neckbeards binge-watching Game of Thrones, because FML. I’m very sorry that’s now an actual sentence.
