We’ve been hearing about Amazon’s plans to deliver packages via drone for years, but now the prospect of 30-minute deliveries appear to be nearing reality. At its re:MARS Conference today, Amazon unveiled its new ‘Prime Air’ drone design, saying it would enable airborne deliveries “within months.” In other words, this is the robotic courier you may soon see on your doorstep. For reference, here’s the previous version: And this was the first iteration: We’ve come a long way. The new Prime Air’s key change is its ‘hybrid’ design that combines the vertical take-off and precision of a traditional drone with…

Nintendo today revealed more about its upcoming RPG, Pokémon Sword & Shield on today’s Direct presentation, including its release date. We now know the game’s release date, and it’s right in the November sweet spot, squished into a release window with long-awaited Kojima wtfery Death Stranding and the first single-player Star Wars release in ages. The creator of the Big Brother reality television format is suing Facebook for allowing advertisements to fraudulently feature his name and image, Reuters reports. Dutch billionaire John de Mol, one of the brains behind entertainment studio Endemol, filed his suit against Facebook in an Amsterdam court earlier today. The bogus ads, no longer available, reportedly tried to get Facebook users to buy Bitcoin from a company ‘backed’ by de Mol himself. Lawyers argued ads that contained de Mol’s image inspired consumers to send $1.7 million euros ($1.9 million) to the fraudsters. They also claimed their client’s reputation was damaged as ads were…

I’m a big fan of UE audio gear. I’ve extolled the virtues of the BOOM 3 in the past, so when I heard about the just announced Wonderboom 2 – a Bluetooth speaker with a number of improvements over its predecessor – I was hyped. Shockingly, the Wonderboom 2 is the second version UE’s entry-level Wonderboom range. They retail for around $100, which is cheaper than the BOOM 3. They also differ aesthetically from this range, being smaller and rounder than the cylindrical BOOM speakers. Basically, Wonderbooms look like this: The Wonderboom 2 comes with a number improvements over its already impressive predecessor.…
