Nexus Player is the first Android TV device, pre-orders start October 17th

Google today announced its first Android TV device will be the Nexus Player, a set-top streaming box made in partnership with Asus. Android TV was first announced back in June, and is Google’s newest attempt to taking a hold of your living room, following the popular Chromecast and less successful attempts like the Nexus Q. Google launches Nexus 9 tablet with 8.9-inch display and Android 5.0 Lollipop, available to pre-order on October 17

Google has officially unveiled its newest Nexus tablet device today in the form of the Nexus 9, an 8.9-inch device which will arrive running the Android 5.0 Lollipop of the Google mobile OS. Announced today, the new device will feature a brushed metal frame, 64-bit processor, front-facing HTC speakers and a detachable keyboard folio (the latter, Microsoft Surface-esque accessory is sold separately). The Nexus 9 also comes equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.6MP front shooter. After months of speculation on what dessert would take on the “L” name for Android 5.0, Google has announced it will be called Lollipop. The latest version of Android has over 5,000 APIs and a new aesthetic style called Material Design that is supposed to create a consistent feel across multiple devices including gadgets running Android Wear and vehicles equipped with Android Auto. Google launches Nexus 6 Android smartphone with 6-inch display, available to pre-order October 29

Google has launched the Nexus 6, its newest smartphone and successor to the Nexus 5, which will be available to pre-order on October 29 and in-store from November. Key specs of the Motorola-made device include a 2.7-GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor, the most recent Android Lollipop OS, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and of course, that 6-inch Quad HD display. Internal storage is set at 32GB or 64GB. And the cost? $649 from the Google Play Store, according to Motorola’s blog.
