iOS 13 will show you where apps have tracked your location, on a map

Apple’s new iOS 13 has a ton of privacy-focused features, including restrictions on location tracking. Now, 9to5Mac has spotted that when an app asks for permission to use your location data , the dialog box will show a map view of locations the app has tracked you. The screenshot below shows the locations used by the Tesla app and the App Store. The company said that these pop-ups will appear from time to time if the app tracks you for a long time. You’ll have an option to change the permission to “Only while using” or keep allowing the location access…

Bethesda wants you to test its game streaming tech with DOOM on iOS this year

At its E3 briefing yesterday, Bethesda Softworks, the publisher behind the popular Elder Scrolls and Fallout game franchises, announced that it’s also hopping on the game streaming bandwagon – but not in the way you might think. The company’s Orion tech is a framework that optimizes cloud gaming performance, so as to reduce latency by up to 20 percent per frame, and to reduce bandwidth requirements by up to 40 percent. Orion is meant to be integrated into game engines to make this magic happen. The company noted this could mean lower data costs for broadband users, and increased availability…
