As if the idea of 56 million credit cards being accessed by hackers during the Home Depot security breach wasn’t enough, now the company is saying that the hackers got 53 million email addresses. Today the chain hardware and lumber store announced that hackers accessed more than just credit card data during a series of breaches that went on between April and September of this year. Home Depot says that customers will be contacted about the breach and warns customers to be aware of phishing scams. You know, like one from “Home Depot” that has a link to change your password….

Yesterday, I found myself chatting with a therapist in the middle of a public square in New York. That’s not a normal occurrence for me – I was testing out Talkspace, an iOS app and Web service for chatting with licensed therapists. The company had setup fake living rooms inside inflated domes in order to convince people to give the app a try. Face-to-face therapy is expensive. After partnering with Iconfactory to design emojis for its web client, Twitter has decided to open source the entire library. Developers can grab the library from Github and start implementing the fancy little characters into their apps, sites and anywhere else you need a character of an ice cream cone next to sushi. Automattic, the makers of a little CMS known as WordPress, is already implementing the emojis into the content management system.
