500px iOS app update debuts a new camera and Adobe photo editing tools

500px, primarily known as a community for sharing and purchasing high-end photography, has updated its iOS app to include camera features for the first time. The new version of the iOS app, which also supports the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models, now includes a built-in camera with the option to control focus and exposure manually, taking advantage of features introduced in Apple’s iOS 8. A full-auto mode is also available. The new app works with Kinect gestures and voice commands and utilizes the Xbox One Snap feature so you can listen to Pandora while playing a game. Microsoft pulls EU-mandated Browser Choice website down after five years

After complying with a European Union mandate for five years, Microsoft has killed off the Browser Choice site. In a settlement with the EU’s Competition Commission, Microsoft created a screen in Windows and on the Web that offered links to alternative Web browsers. At the time, the EU contended that bundling Internet Explorer with Windows was anti-competitive. The Browser Choice site was a part of the settlement with the commission.
