Adobe has put plenty of energy into the mobile side of its Creative Cloud marketplace. However, this concentration has thus far been focused on the iOS side of the equation. That is about to change with the launch of Lightroom Mobile for Android, available free on the Google Play Store. It makes sense that Adobe has tackled the most accessible category of its Creative Cloud apps first: While the $9.99-per-month photography plan directly targets photographers with the lowest priced subscription, Lightroom is the only Creative Cloud app that can still be purchased as a perpetual license. Next week, Obama is expected to unveil an update to the US’ CFAA law against hacking in a State of the Union address, hot on the tail of Sony’s massive hacking attack that unfolded in late 2014. A draft version of the new law has been published on the White House website and gives us a look into a scary future in which clicking a single link could make you complicit in committing a hacking crime. BlackBerry denies Samsung buyout rumors

After rumors started spreading earlier today that Blackberry was in the midst of talks to be acquired by Samsung – causing its stocks to rise suddenly by 29 percent – the company has offered an official comment: it “has not engaged with Samsung with respect to any possible offer to purchase BlackBerry.” Blackberry then goes on to say its policy is not to comment on rumors – how nice of them to make an exception – and will talk no further about the matter.
