Hyundai has updated its Blue Link Android app with support for Android Wear. The latest version lets owners remote lock, unlock and start their cars from their smartwatches. In addition to locking and starting your car with your watch, you can also call roadside assistance, stop the engine, flash your lights, honk the horn, and even locate it in a parking lot. They’re also voice activated, so you command your vehicle by to tapping the mic icon on your watch and saying “Start my car,” “Lock my car” or “Find my car”. Google has announced its new Google Maps Roads API that allows developers to create better route visualizations in their apps from raw GPS data by following actual roads. The new API fixes the problem of GPS jitter, wherein apps display odd routes that pass through obstructions like buildings and medians when tracking a user’s location while on the move, due to either inaccurate or insufficient GPS data.
