As the clock ticks toward Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference on June 8, sources have told Bloomberg News that the company is still hammering out deals with record labels for its planned streaming music subscription service. Sources told the news agency that the recording industry is intent on getting better terms from Apple than it currently gets from rival music streamer Spotify. The labels now receive 55 percent of Spotify’s $9.99-per-month fee, but they are said to be angling for about 60 percent from Apple, according to Bloomberg’s sources. Meanwhile, publishers now pull in about 15 percent. Apple is expected to charge customers around $10 per month for the service, the…

eBay announced today that it’s expanding its Valet reselling service to accept high-end clothing from users. eBay Valet launched a year ago as an iPhone app. It sells shoes, handbags, electronics, antiques, sporting goods and household items on behalf of customers, who only need to ship their stuff to the company. The service takes cares of the rest, from estimating price, to taking photos and shipping the goods to buyers. Valet users get between 60 and 80 percent of what their items sell for, depending on the sale price. eBay has partnered with fashion blogger Garance Doré to debut the expansion of eBay…

Apple’s WWDC always brings us lots of great stuff, and this should be no different. With talk of a new streaming service, connected home and other tidbits of info circulating, next week may be really special. Apple TV No new hardware? No problem. The real rub with Apple TV lies in the experience, and we’re hearing Apple is diligently trying to bring us TV sans-cable, much like we have with Sling TV. Apple reportedly is having trouble striking deals, so there could be no new over-the-top TV service at WWDC. There could still be Apple TV news, though. Depending on…

If you’re a member of Last.fm, the CBS Interactive-owned streaming music service, you might have been visiting — and tracking your tunes — less often over time. And that might be putting it politely. That could change soon as Last.fm pushes out a redesign it believes will inspire its users to come back more often. According to Nick Calafato, music partnership rustler at the service, the site is “busy totally re-platforming and re-designing Last.fm from top to bottom.” Updates to the design were revealed to paying subscribers first, and an open beta went public last week. There’s no word on exactly when…
