

Lyft has just announced that it is bringing its carpool car-sharing feature to New York. Soon residents will be able to sit with strangers in another stranger’s car for a discounted ride in the five boroughs. Launching tomorrow, New York will be the third market to receive Lyft Line following San Francisco and Los Angeles. Like those other markets, riders will be able to select Lyft Line from the Lyft app for a cheaper ride to their destination. Of course, along the way the driver will be picking up other passengers.
