
Apple’s top two manufacturers are reportedly hiring record numbers of staff to build next iPhone
In a clear sign that we’ve entered iPhone 6 hype territory, media in Taiwan are reporting that Apple’s biggest two manufacturing partners are boosting their ranks with record recruiting drives to help build the soon-to-be-announced device. Economic News Daily reports [translated] that Foxconn (which is known in Taiwan as Hon Hai, and said to produce 70 percent of Apple’s mobile devices) is hiring as many as 100,000 new workers to cover the additional demand.
