Uber is transitioning from Google Wallet to Android Pay on May 9

Uber was, surprisingly, still accepting Google Wallet as a form of payment. On May 9, that won’t be the case. In an email to users, Google is preparing those who rely on Google Wallet to get around town that a transition to Android Pay is necessary for Uber. It joins credit/debit cards and PayPal as payment options for Uber rides. The downside is that there’s no simple transition for those who don’t already have Android Pay set up.
