Google Fiber launches in Nashville, Tennessee

Google Fiber is opening up in its ninth market: Nashville, Tennessee. Google first announced Nashville as a candidate city back in January of 2015. It’s a small roll-out to start: just four apartment and condominium buildings. Google says hopes to eventually expand its service to “the lion’s share” of Nashville. It’s also launching a Fiber Space for locals to try out Gigabit internet, as well as the company’s cable TV offering. It’s priced as usual: $50 a month for 100 Mbps, $70 a month for 1 Gbps and 1TB of Google Drive storage, and $130 for the gigabit service along with cable TV…
