Microsoft just unveiled a new Surface… that’s actually a laptop

Microsoft unveiled an interesting new device at its event today: Surface Book. It’s a Surface Laptop, built by Microsoft’s Surface team with the help of engineers from the Xbox team. The Surface Book is encased in a magnesium body, rather than plastic or aluminum. What’s up with that crazy hinge? It features a 13.5″ screen and supports pen and touch, just like the Surface tablet. What’s crazy though, is that trippy hinge — it turns out the keyboard is detachable, just like the Surface Pro 4. Microsoft calls the hinge a ‘muscle wire’ and lets you pull them apart easily…
