Verizon simplifies its data plans and eliminates device subsidies for new subscribers

Verizon has followed T-Mobile’s lead, and is ending phone subsidies and contracts for new customers. Starting August 13, subscribers can choose how much data they want, and pay a flat monthly fee to connect devices. Data plans now come in four sizes: Small — 1GB of data for $30 per month Medium — 3GB of data for $45 per month Large — 6GB of data for $60 per month Extra Large — 12GB of data for $80 per month All data is shared.
