Google Fiber gigabit Internet comes to Austin, Texas

Google has begun accepting registrations from residents and small businesses in Austin for its Fiber gigabit Internet service. With plans starting at $70/month, users in the Texas capital will get to experience speeds of 1,000Mbps and opt-in for HD TV content too. As with its previous rollouts, Google will group parts of the city into ‘fiberhoods’, and complete installations for one area at a time.
