Several of America’s largest tech companies, including Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, and Yahoo have submitted a letter to the FCC in defense of net neutrality. The coalition specifically objected to new rules the FCC is considering that could allow ISPs to charge companies extra to distribute their content to their customers, calling the proposals a “grave threat to the Internet.” FCC commissioner Mignon Clyburn published a blog post on Wednesday reiterating her commitment to an open internet.
