Apple is reportedly cutting off Iran-based iOS apps from the App Store

In a mysterious turn of events, Apple has allegedly began removing Iran-based mobile apps from the App Store. Local media outlet TechRasa reports Apple has taken the biggest Iranian e-commerce service DigiKala off its app distribution platform. While the reasons for the takedown remain unclear, TechRasa speculates the move has to do with certain restrictions in international trade laws – though the details seem to suggest there might be room for maneuver.
