The Unicode Consortium has announced that it’s approved 51 new emoji for its upcoming Unicode 10 release that’s set to be published in mid-2017 — and they include everything from a vampire to a nude “person in a steamy room.” It’s clear that making emoji more representative of the diverse community that uses them has been the main priority for the latest update as it’s set to include a breastfeeding mother, a woman wearing a hijab and a heavily bearded man.
