Apple’s App Store is about to be filled with ads

Following a successful beta test, Apple has announced that it will start displaying adverts in the App Store on Wednesday, October 5. The ads will appear at the top of the results page when iOS users enter a keyword in the search box. The company claims that more than 65% of all app downloads come from search results. Apple’s hoping that its new Search Ads program will help users discover lesser-known apps that they wouldn’t usually find in the charts.
