Google’s lightweight Maps Go is just a Progressive Web App, here’s how to try it

Earlier this month, Google announced the official rollout of Android Go, a variant of its mobile platform that’s optimized to run on devices with less RAM and processing power. Part of that offering included similarly optimized Google apps – including Maps Go. Android Police noted that the app now has a listing on Google Play, but it looks like it’s only going to be compatible with Go phones (which are actually slated to arrive in the coming months).
