Product Hunt acquired by AngelList for around $20 million

Product Hunt, the popular web resource for finding new apps and products, has been acquired by startup platform Angel List. Product Hunt founder Ryan Hoover described the merger as “peanut butter and jelly” in a blog post. While AngelList focuses on fundraising and recruiting, Product Hunt get the word out to the world. The latter has helped launch tools and apps from individual developers to the likes of Google (see:GBoard) and Instagram (see: Hyperlapse).
