Domino’s is now testing a drone delivery program that drops pizza from the heavens
Joining a growing list of companies that aspire to deliver consumer products by drone, Domino’s today launched its commercial drone delivery service in New Zealand. The project is a partnership between Domino’s and Flirtey — a drone delivery startup — and it’s set to launch later this year in test markets. Not every pizza will be delivered by drone, however. Domino’s is committed to testing the service alongside traditional deliveries via car or scooter, at least for now. Not all menu items will be eligible for drone delivery and those that are will only be delivered by sky if they’ll decrease…
