Google’s ‘Indie Games Festival’ will showcase hot new Android games
In an ongoing effort to showcase independent developers, Google is having an ‘Indie Games Festival’ on September 24 at the Terra Gallery in San Francisco. Developers that meet Google’s criteria (US or Canadian developers with 15 or fewer on staff) can submit apps util August 14, and the company says it will choose “high-quality games that are both innovative and fun.” Only games published in 2016 are eligible. Google is also encouraging VR games for Cardboard and AR Tango games as well. The plan is to put selected games in front of more eyes, including hundreds of consumers and “industry influencers.”…
