American Airlines drops its lawsuit with in-flight Wi-Fi provider Gogo

Last week, we reported that American Airlines filed suit against Gogo, its in-flight Wi-Fi provider, over subpar internet speeds. In the filing, American claimed to have found a better provider, ViaSat, and wanted to nullify its existing agreement with Gogo unless it could match the term and speeds of ViaSat. Today, Gogo announced that American had dismissed its lawsuit. A spokesperson told Fortune: American has dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice. If Gogo chooses to submit a proposal in response to a competitive offering, we will evaluate it. From the sounds of that statement, it seems that American will still have the option…
