Tumblr will soon be a chat platform. In a blog post today on its support page, Tumblr notes the ability to chat with others is “on its way” for Web and mobile users. On your dashboard, a smiling balloon icon denotes chat is available. You can send a message to anyone, which activates the chat feature on their end if they don’t already have it.
