Europe’s court just dealt a major blow to US tech companies: Safe Harbor is invalid
The laws that govern how customer data can be shared between Europe and the United States have been ruled invalid by a European court today. Called “Safe Harbor,” the laws allow for technology companies like Facebook and Microsoft to move user data between data centers if they guarantee that it will receive an “adequate level” of protection.
