I live in Dublin, Ireland. I used to live in London. I’ve spent a lot of time in Manchester and studied in Cambridge. The point of this mini geographical CV is that I have encountered ‘hipsters’ in all those places. Cultural tropes, most of them incubated in Portland, have spread and mutated all across the world.
