Amazon Prime’s adding High Dynamic Range content this year, even though most people don’t have 4K yet

Amazon’s announced that it’ll be adding High Dynamic Range (HDR) content to Prime later this year. Customers in the US, UK and Germany will be able to watch the movies and TV shows taking advantage of the technology. HDR is designed to bring greater contrast to the screen with more detailed shadows and distinct highlights making colors appear richer and more lifelike.
