GitHub is back after 5 days of DDoS attacks

The code management platform GitHub has emerged victorious after enduring almost a week of distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. The company managed to get workarounds in place to settle the site and return to normal operations after experiencing crashes since March 26. Everything operating normally. — GitHub Status (@githubstatus) March 31, 2015 San Francisco-based GitHub saw huge amounts of traffic coming from Chinese search engine, Baidu, which caused the site to appear unavailable to other visitors. While GitHub hasn’t pinned the attack on any specific organization, the pages targeted were ones that link to copies of websites banned in China.…
