Apple extends 3D Flyover support and strikes new US partnerships, showing it’s still serious about rivaling Google Maps
In the past week Apple Maps has added nine new cities to the 3D Flyover feature, partnered with GasBuddy and GreatSchools in the US and added some quirky features to London’s 3D flyover views that include Big Ben showing the real time and the London Eye rotating. The nine new cities covered by the 3D feature are: Edinburgh, Scotland; Cáceres, Spain; Venice, Italy; Linz, Austria; Rennes, France; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Baton Rouge and Boise in the US.
