VSCO acquires Artifact Uprising, mixing artistic inspiration with real-life creations
Visual Supply Company (aka VSCO), the Oakland California outfit behind photography/art apps and plug-ins such as VSCO Cam, VSCO Film, VSCO Grid, VSCO Journal and VSCO Keys, has acquired Artifact Uprising, a Denver company that specializes in transforming digital images into photo-based books, prints and gifts. Signature Artifact Uprising products, including its own iPhone photo creation app, feature high-quality photo books whose pages are printed on 100 percent recycled paper and a collection of handcrafted wood items from mountain beetle pine.
