Uber introduces charitable donations with No Kid Hungry partnership
Let’s take a break from all the bad Uber news recently to look at something positive, for a change. The company today announced a partnership with the No Kid Hungry charity, allowing riders in the US to donate to the cause through Uber’s platform this week. As of today, riders can tap a “Donate” option at the bottom of their screen when ordering a cab, after which they will be charged an additional $5 as a donation.
