Amazon brings 4K streaming to its Instant Video shows and movies

With the move towards all things 4K, it had to happen eventually: Amazon will now begin streaming some of its video content in the new high resolution UltraHD format. For reference, that’s four times the resolution of standard 1080p full HD , 3840 x 2160 instead of 1920 x 1080, or the equivalent of an 8 megapixel photo. If you have 4K monitor or just want to take advantage of the extra sharpness offered by 4K footage on your regular HD display though, you’ll have to wait – the new resolution options are only available on compatible Ultra HD TVs.
